Article 1 – Definitions of terms used in the charter
Hereinafter we will designate:
- ● ‘Application’: the Sea Tags application and all of its pages and screens.
- ● ‘Editor’: SECURITAG, responsible for editing and content of the application.
- ● ‘User’: The Internet user visiting and using the services of the application.
Article 2 – Introduction and role of the charter
This charter aims to inform you of the application’s commitments with regard to respect for your privacy and the protection of personal data concerning you, collected and processed during your use of the application.
You can at any time make a request to SECURITAG in order to find out what information concerning you is held by SECURITAG, to oppose their processing, to have them modified or deleted, by contacting the publication director at email@example.com.
Article 3 – Data collected in the application
The data collected and subsequently processed by the application are those that you can voluntarily transmit to us by completing the various forms present within the application. For certain operations, you may be required to transmit data concerning you to third party partners through their own services, more specifically when sending SMS messages in the event of a MOB alert. We have access to this data for bug fixes and you can request that this data be erased by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We invite you to consult the conditions before communicating your data in this context.
Your IP address (identification number assigned on the Internet to your device) may be collected automatically. You are informed that the application is likely to implement an automatic tracing process.
The third-party partners of the Sea-Tags application are:
- • www.twilio.com (API used for automatic SMS sending from the application)
- • www.mapbox.com (API used to display the map in the application)
The contact details of the users of the application which are requested in the form will be saved locally on the phone. Some of its data can be transmitted when sending an automatic SMS. In accordance with the law, users have the right to access, withdraw, modify or rectify the data they have provided. To do this, they just need to make a request to the following email address: email@example.com.
Article 4 – Purposes of the data collected
The data identified as being mandatory on the application forms are necessary in order to be able to benefit from the corresponding functionalities of the application and more specifically from the operations on the content offered within it.
The data collected automatically by the application can be used to perform statistics on the consultation of its pages and screen, the use of its features, the progress of its installation and uninstallation on the device.
Article 5 – Recipients and use of the data collected
Your data collected by us is processed for the purposes of performing operations on the content of the application.
You are likely to receive emails and notifications from the application, particularly in the context of newsletters. You can request to no longer receive these e-mails by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org or on the link provided for this purpose in each of the e-mails that will be sent to you.
Article 6 – Data security
You are informed that your data may be disclosed in application of a law, regulation or by virtue of a decision of a competent regulatory or judicial authority or, if this is necessary, for the purposes, for ‘Publisher, to preserve its rights and interests.
Article 7 – Data retention period
The data collected is kept for the period strictly necessary to achieve the purposes referred to above. Beyond this period, they will be kept for exclusively statistical purposes and will not give rise to any exploitation of any kind.
Article 8 – Geolocation
In accordance with Article L. 34-1-V of the Postal and Electronic Communications Code, the application collecting location data, it must allow the user to give their express consent during installation and to modify this choice thereafter.
The use of the geolocation functionality of the application requires the prior express consent of the user to be geolocated. To do this, the user must activate, if he wishes, the geolocation function directly in the settings of his mobile terminal and accept that the application can use it. This feature can be deactivated or activated at any time and without charge.
We recommend that the user allow the application to use geolocation in the background for optimal operation.
By accepting the GPS geolocation function of the device and the application, the following services are offered to the user:
- • Recording and display of the last known position of the Sea-Tags beacon in the event of an alert
- • Positioning of the boat on the map and calculation of the course and speed of the boat.
The deactivation of geolocation by the application and / or of the geolocation of the device blocks the services offered by the application which are linked to it.
